start in the middle (feat. pasta burnout)
I've had this blog for a few days now, but since I've yet to figure out a cool name, I feel as though I cannot blog because it doesn't "feel right".
The completionist impulse is a huge detriment to anyone who wants to pursue something but struggles to start unless everything is "presented correctly and thought through."
What is there to think through? The hardest place to start from is the beginning, because we are never at the start of anything. Rather, we're always in the middle of things. So start from the middle, and the edges of whatever you want to do will appear over time.
On another note, I have been making so much fresh pasta that I am burning myself out. If I don't get a dough maker soon, I will scream. It's impossible to go back to store bought dried pasta when you have tasted the goodness of home-made (and it's so easy, it just takes a bit of time).
